Fly to Your Heart

Again, a composite. Notice a recurring element from the Man on the Moon composite I posted last?

MissL was probably less than a year old when photo was taken. She was a bit of a crybaby, so this was a good one.

Floating worlds and fairies make me feel like a child again. I feel nostalgic, wanting to watch Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. I was around 7 or 8 when I first watched the movie and it left a good impression on me.

Any favorites from Ghibli? Do share, would love to hear.

Man on the Moon

This is a composite of various images and I used different PSD filters for each element. MasterD must have been around three when this photo was taken.

One morning, while still in his PJs, he randomly picked up a black plastic bag scattered about in the room and wore it on his head. It was spontaneous and hilarious I just had to take his photo.

I’m such a big fan of R.E.M. and MasterD loved the song as well, thus the title. He used to hum, sing, and dance with it… I miss having a little one… *sigh*

The Persistence of Memory

People often say that experience is the best teacher. One way or another way, people change as a reaction to situations they are going through.  This is constant.

As a way to survive, many people learn from their past mistakes to make a better future.

But of course, it’s worth noting that there is more than one way for something to go wrong. Yet it can’t be ignored that whatever experiences we have met could help guide us as we move forward.

The past is and will always be the foundation of the present and the future.

We may try to forget certain things we’ve gone through, but somehow those experiences still make us who we are.

I already missed posting my style picks during the Oscars, Golden Globes, the Critic’s Choice, and whatnot, and it looks like I might miss posting my faves during the Grammys as well. But, I’ll make time. For now, let me leave you with an outfit I’d wear if I were to go to the Grammys. Hah! I wish! Hey, it’s free to dream, right?
