The 10-day festival kicked off on the 17th with a fundraising event called An Artist at the Table, followed by the Day One Film screening. There are, like, almost a couple hundred films that will be screened and I’ve read the reviews of some of the film. I know, reviews are subjective. But if you’re curious, I’ve been reading slashfilm and indiewire.
Soon, we’ll finally find out who wins what and what movies to watch out for. Personally, I’m looking out for Jim Rash and Nat Faxon’s The Way Way Back, Joseph Gordon- Levitt’s directorial debut film Don Johnson’s Addiction, Richard Linklater’s Before Midnight (uhm, a sequel to Before Sunrise and Before Sunset?), Stoker (mostly because I think Matthew Goode was cute in Chasing Liberty), and perhaps, Lovelace– I’m Amanda Seyfried’s fan after all. Oh! And there are Drake Doremus’ Breathe In and Sebastian Silva’s Crystal Fairy, Ryan Coogler’s Fruitvale, too.
And yes, I heart Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters. They rock!
And here’s a peek at the fashpack.
